LEEDS University, The top ten in the country in a new survey
Accommodation is one of the prime concerns for the discerning students and emerging professionals who are in search of better opportunities in the industry and want to get best out of the available opportunities in one’s life. This is one of the prior concerns of the students as without student flats on rent it is not possible for them to continue their educational activities. Majority of the students cannot afford higher costs and always tend to look for the accommodation that is available at the least possible prices. The recent changes in laws have made many things much different from what they have been actually on ground.
The legislation has been approved to limit the number of student houses in Leeds under multiple accommodations in the city and the number exceeding above the limits have been ordered to be moved out of the city. This move has put the student’s future at stake and the increase in distances has increased in their cost of education and travel. The new law has also imposed more taxes on the students flats for rent duly declared as HMO despite having limited accommodation space and this has lead the student organizations to protest against this act. According to the unions if this act is implemented, the students will be derived out of the main community and would impact on their lives and would drive them into further poverty and deprivation. The students union at Hull University has claimed that this move by the authorities will negatively impact the student lives and would drag the students into poverty and would not help them in any way for availing better opportunities in life. For better life and better future, students must be given better environment and should be given multiple opportunities to grow in their fields. Without appropriate facilities and accommodation opportunities and imposing further taxes would not help them in improving their life style.
Hull University Union has claimed and again vowed to stand along with the students and other student unions against this act and would support them by all means and lead them to achieve their targets. The union has always supported the students in their just cause and would again do the same and would not let them get back from their current demands as these demands are based on justified facts and government and authorities have to take notice of this unjust activity that is causing the students major economic and educational loss. Student union has a great background and has been helping the students in achieving their desired goals and supported them in their activities to help them in future education and better prospects in the job industry. This move by the union is seen as a right move in support of students who are about to be in the professional field and especially the students who are coming from distant areas.
