The students union at Hull University has claimed that this move by the authorities will negatively impact the student lives and would drag the students into poverty and would not help them in any way for availing better opportunities in life. For better life and better future, students must be given better environment and should be given multiple opportunities to grow in their fields. Without appropriate facilities and accommodation opportunities and imposing further taxes would not help them in improving their life style.

Hull University Union has claimed and again vowed to stand along with the students and other student unions against this act and would support them by all means and lead them to achieve their targets. The union has always supported the students in their just cause and would again do the same and would not let them get back from their current demands as these demands are based on justified facts and government and authorities have to take notice of this unjust activity that is causing the students major economic and educational loss.  Student union has a great background and has been helping the students in achieving their desired goals and supported them in their activities to help them in future education and better prospects in the job industry. This move by the union is seen as a right move in support of students who are about to be in the professional field and especially the students who are coming from distant areas. 
 

Increasing Expenditures with Rising Rents of Student Accommodation

Accommodation is one of the prime most requirements for the student pursuing for higher education in the prime cities in UK. The rents of the properties are rising at an extremely high pace especially in the North region of UK as compared to the South. There is a visible divide in the two sides of the country but still the increase in the rents at both the ends is unimaginable and is increasing burden on the parents who have to pay the price of all expenditures. The increase is not to be paid by the students but it is eventually going to be a burden on the parents who have to pay for the rents and all other expenditures of the students. The most feasible student accommodation places in the country where student flats for rent are available have been located in Walsall, Stockton, and Wolverhampton with an average weekly rents amounting up to £48, £49 and £52. This eventually makes it clear that the locations in the south have been the major cause of the upsurge of the rents in the country especially Luton with 20% rise,  Chatham with 19% rise and Bournemouth with 16% increase. Till the month of June the property contracts for the provision of asylum housing were coordinated by the local authorities who also provided a specific part of the housing stock to the landlords for asylum purpose. The mishandling of the properties and asylum seeking families has been reported being threatened and have faced invasion of privacy. According to the news the complete detailed reports regarding the matters reported about the G4S asylum housing in the areas of Yorkshire, and Northeast have been presented to the committee in briefings and also in the documented format. Home Office has reported to spend a huge amount of this project of asylum housing and the respective authorities do not appropriately manage services provided as the result of this.

According to all the reports conducted and presented, G4S had some loopholes in its performance and had given the hiring of the staff on contract which they took back because this was the prime reason of the decline in performance. According to the recent reports the performance of G4S has improved to a greater level and has been reported as satisfactory by the authorities inspecting the accommodation. Even if the matters are being resolved, the matter remains the same as the taxpayers need to decide if they are willing to see their tax money being directed to the organizations like G4S, Serco and Capita/Clearel for the next five years and they provide the same substandard accommodation facilities to the asylum houses. The Home Office need to look into the matters and decide the future planning instead of pumping the funding from the taxpayers to the organizations which cannot manage their duties or to finance such organizations that have experience and are eager about performing the best in limited resources to provide enhanced Asylum accommodation to the homeless old age people.
